RDH: Katie graduated from Ironton High School and Shawnee State University’s Dental Hygiene Program. Katie was so excited to begin her career as a dental hygienist here at Scioto Smiles. Katie has a presence that reflects her young, energetic, kind and gentle nature that reassures her patient’s needs are her first priority. In Katie’s spare time you can find her enjoying hiking, traveling, experiencing different foods, spending time with her friends and family.

Patient/Financial Coordinator Administrative Assistant: Mallory is a graduate of Northwest High School and Paramount Beauty Academy. Mallory has enjoyed 4+ years and counting helping with insurance, billing, directing and multiple other front office responsibilities at Scioto Smiles. Mallory is likely the first person you will see when you enter our office and is certain to quickly put most everyone at ease with her engaging personality. Mallory is also a talented stylist at Salon on Second in Portsmouth. In Mallory’s spare time you can find her enjoying time with her son and his sports activities, family, hiking, spontaneous vacations, music, social activities and volunteering in community service enrichment activities.

CDA EFDA: Gail graduated from Portsmouth East High School and Scioto County Career Technical Center and The Ohio State University’s EFDA program. Gail has enjoyed 29 years and counting of helping patients with their smiles. Gail takes great pride in her role of assisting Dr. Martin as well as placing restorative materials (fillings) for patients. In Gail’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her loving husband, Greg and their 2 children. Together they enjoy trail riding and anything outdoors. Gail is an incredibly talented nature photographer and has a great love of birds. RDH: Nancy graduated from Notre Dame High School and Shawnee State University’s Dental Hygiene program and has so far enjoyed 30 years and counting of helping patients with their smiles. Nancy loves being able to meet new patients and creating long lasting relationships with them. In Nancy’s spare time she enjoys traveling with her sister, spending time with her grandchildren and her loving husband, Joe.

Dental Assistant: Mona graduate of South Webster High School and Scioto County Career Technical Center. Mona has enjoyed 28 years and counting helping patients with their smiles and Mona say she is enjoys it just as much now as she did in the beginning and our patients are more like family. Mona loves her role at Scioto Smiles as she maintains a fresh, clean and welcoming environment as well as maintaining supplies and assisting the dental group. In Mona’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her loving husband, Jim and their 2 children and grandson. Together they enjoy time with one and other and hiking.

CDA: Kellie graduated from Northwest High School, Scioto County Career Technical Center and Shawnee State University- Associate of Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy. Kellie has enjoyed 19 years and counting helping patients with their smiles. Kellie has helped in several positions here at Scioto Smiles including hygiene assistant, patient coordinator, financial coordinator, chairside assistant and now where she is most active, sterilization assistant. Kellie’s multi skilled talents have been most beneficial to our group. In Kellie’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her “hero”, Sean, as well as their 3 daughters, music of all kinds, singing, vacationing and DIY projects.

RDH: Kristi graduated from West Portsmouth High School, Shawnee State University’s Dental Hygiene program and The Ohio State’s Local Anesthesia program. Kristi has so far enjoyed 16 years and counting of helping patients with their smiles. Kristi loves helping in our hygiene department where she also helps with orthodontics and helping Dr Martin with local anesthesia. In Kristi’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her loving husband, Larry, as well as her 4 daughters, baking, scrapbooking and anything related to crafting.

CDA CP: Hope graduated from Valley High School, Scioto County Career Technical Center and The Ohio State’s Coronal Polishing program. Hope has enjoyed 8 years and counting helping patients with their smiles. Hope feels blessed to help Scioto Smiles on a daily basis where she is guaranteed to deliver a smile every time and she feels more of a family connection with patients. In Hope’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter. Together, they are active in sports, camping and creating memories wherever they go.

Sterilization Assistant: Lori is a graduate of South Webster High School. You will see Lori efficiently helping in the sterilization lab, transitioning rooms for the next patient and helping with multiple other tasks at our dental group. Lori has enjoyed her transition into dentistry from her prior position in management of a retail group. Lori has a bubbly personality that is contagious to other members of the group and patients. In Lori’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her 3 children (Dylan, Darren and Loren). Together they support each other by attending Dylan’s college baseball games, Loren’s pageants and Darren’s ministry.
